Kilotech Engineering (Pty) Ltd has Consultants and Engineers that have professional experience and expertise spanning over two decades and as a company it provides the following services:

Procurement Quality and Expediting Services

Under this section, we offer Procurement Quality Services and Expediting Services both of which are dependent on each other. It is our policy to execute these functions on a "Do It Right...The First Time...Every Time" basis since it takes a long time to replace wrongly purchased products such as transformers and other heavy equipment.

Quality Engineering Services

We ensure that Quality and Quality requirements are built into the Engineering outputs throughout the Engineering process and life cycle (statutory and non-statutory) for projects.

Procurement Quality

We plan and perform contract strategy, enquiry, clarification, evaluation, adjudication, supplier audit, negotiation, contract award, handover to QC and supplier quality performance monitoring.

Expediting Services

Our Expediting Functions interface with Outage Teams and ensuring that enough spares are ordered correctly and on time by managing lead times and checking correctness of materials by, among many other functions, expediting Drawings and Documentation required for Contractors/Suppliers.

Fabrication

To carry out Quality inspections by carrying out specific inspection interventions during the different stages of Fabrication or Manufacturing processes of equipment by employing Inspection and Test Plans(ITPs) at quality interception points in factories such as:

Testing Points
Witness Points
Surveillance Points
Writing and closing of NCRs

Shipping and Haulage Quality

As regards, Shipping and Haulage Quality, our services include managing the implementation of shipping quality strategy aligned with Quality Management; these include. Participation in the planning process, Off-shore transportation validation, Goods In-transit monitoring and Local handling and transit.

Storage and Preservation Quality

Preservation of Products and services and involves product identification, handling, packaging, storage and preservation. Key performance areas include among other services, to provide input to the development of Quality Plans procedures for receiving, storage, handling, packaging, preservation, handling and despatch & delivery of equipment in all projects.

Project Quality Site Works

Under Project Site Works, our services include carrying out quality inspections at client project/construction sites such as substations and power stations, review contractors Project Quality Plans (PQP) and Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), advise Project Managers and Program Managers on quality related issues during the life cycle of a project and hold workshops and trainings to appraise suppliers / contractors of client quality requirements.

Our Project Quality Advisors and Managers are deployed to all country's provinces to monitor and give technical support to Project Managers and other customers.

Quality & Technical Incident Investigations

We offer quality and technical incident investigations by deploying our resources to conduct technical incident investigations, compile comprehensive investigation reports, carry out Risks Ranking, Cause of incident (Direct Cause, Contributory Causes & Root Cause) and to conduct Root Cause Analysis sessions and presenting investigation reports to Eskom management.
